RESYNTEX
Disseminating Innovation for the Circular Economy – Sustainability Consult is a partner on RESYNTEX and has led its communications activities since 2015. The project’s forward-thinking research aims to develop new circular economy concepts for the textile and chemical industries.
Sustainability Consult works closely with other project partners to coordinate RESYNTEX’s social media, website and the project’s involvement at high-level conferences. A series of well-attended Information Sessions were organised to disseminate the project’s research to key stakeholders in Brussels, Manchester and beyond.
RESYNTEX has been repeatedly cited by the European Union as an innovative step towards new textile recycling processes and the Commission’s Circular Economy Action Plan. The project has been referenced in the Greenpeace report ‘Fashion at the crossroads’ and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Fibres Initiative.
The €11 million undertaking received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Horizon 2020 is a financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union, an initiative aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness.
