Sustainability Consult Organising Climate Change Communications Workshop

Sustainability Consult is organising a Copernicus climate change communications workshop in Brussels on 16-17 June, on behalf of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) is the European Union's (EU) flagship programme on monitoring the Earth's environment using satellite and in-situ observations.

ECMWFAn official side event of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2015, the workshop will bring together expert communicators from diverse fields to discuss the challenges of climate change communications from economic, political and scientific viewpoints.

The workshop aims to promote credible and transparent climate change communications by gaining a better insight into current approaches and sharing best practice on successful climate change communications campaigns.

Speakers include:
• Jean-Pascal van Ypersele, Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
• Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, Spokesperson for Climate Action and Energy, European Commission
• Tim Nuthall, International Communications Director at the European Climate Foundation.
