Kathryn Sheridan CEO Kathryn began her career as an environmental journalist and built upon her media experience to become a true PR professional.  In 2008, Kathryn saw a need for a new kind of communications firm and founded Sustainability Consult to support companies and other players in the shift to a more sustainable economy.  Kathryn leverages her experience and expertise to advise companies, trade associations and NGOs on how to communicate with stakeholders and media. She works on both policy and corporate clients, specialising in sustainability, environment, renewable, green chemistry and cleantech.  Based in Brussels, Kathryn also spends time in Colorado and Andalucia indulging her passion for mountains and the countryside.  She speaks and writes blogs and regular columns on sustainability, renewable chemistry and cleantech in Europe and North America and is a Certified Sustainability Practitioner. Back to Top		Ana Isabel Catarino Consultant Ana is our very own climate researcher and in-house scientist, although she says we’re not to call her Dr Ana. We enticed Ana out of the lab after her PhD in marine biology and research into the effects of ocean acidification. Ana adds another dimension to our science communications and pulls us up for calling microorganisms bugs. Academic achievements aside, Ana enjoys networking and soaks up new information like a sponge. She is an avid blogger and key player in our social media team. In 2011, she did her first charity run. When she’s not being sporty, Ana enjoys cooking real food and sharing the famous Portuguese hospitality. She leads our Community Engagement programme.   Back to Top
Bárbara Mendes-Jorge Communications Assistant Bárbara moved from London to join Sustainability Consult in January 2013. Before coming on board, Bárbara worked for climate think tank E3G, climate and energy blog Carbon Brief and on corporate responsibility for the European Investment Bank. Bárbara has a Masters in Social and Cultural Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science.   An avid social media consumer, Bárbara first came into contact with Sustainability Consult through Twitter. Bárbara is Portuguese and grew up between Luxembourg and the UK. She is on a personal quest to find the best coffee shop in Brussels. Back to Top		Zoe Volioti Marketing Assistant Zoe sees sustainability communications as a way to bring about change from within.  Zoe is responsible for Sustainability Consult's marketing and business development.  She has a Masters in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University, Sweden.      Before moving to Brussels, Zoe worked in the Environmental Department of the Municipality of Thessaloniki in Greece, organising social media campaigns and events. Zoe is co-founder of the bilingual e-magazine Artivist. Zoe grew up camping, playing water polo and hiking Mount Olympus. Back to Top
Aris Koutentakis Consultant Aris spent seven years in PR agencies in Greece before moving to Brussels to broaden his horizons. We hired Aris for his expertise in consumer and lifestyle PR and excellent media relationships. Aris joined our Team on a six-month contract in 2012 but we couldn't bear to let him go at the end. When he's not consulting on client projects, Aris doubles as Team Assistant as he knows that everything runs more smoothly when the office is well-organised.    In his free time, Aris is studying French, teaching Greek to kids and enjoys regular visits to the cinema. Since moving to Brussels, Aris has learned to cycle and become one of our most dedicated cyclists. Back to Top		Rick Jones Creative Director Rick is our go-to guy for all things creative. An integral part of the Sustainability Consult team, Rick lives our values of Insight, Experience, Delivery, delivering top notch print, online and exhibition design within tight deadlines. We’re quite sure we’d be lost without him. With over 20 years in the business, Rick worked with many of the top brands and advertising agencies before branching out on his own. Rick relishes the opportunity to hop on the Eurostar to Brussels for client meetings and a catch-up with the rest of the team, usually over lunch in a nice Belgian brasserie. Anne-Sophie Duchene Senior Consultant Events, internal communications, marketing campaigns and how to keep trade associations and their members happy, the list of Anne-Sophie’s contributions to the Sustainability Consult team is extensive. A French native and long-term Brussels resident, Anne-Sophie is bilingual French and English with good Spanish. Anne-Sophie is a seasoned communications professional with over 15 years in EU policy and industry communications. She has considerable experience with stakeholder communications on sustainability and environmental issues. In her spare time, Anne-Sophie enjoys lecturing on marketing, as well as entertaining and skiing. Back to Top		Marion Bywater Senior Advisor, Policy Marion has over 30 years’ EU experience in journalism and consulting. Still today, she is one of the longest-serving energy reporters for the Platts newswire. A former diplomat for the Hong Kong government, our clients want Marion on their side when facing thorny policy issues and crisis communications which explains why she is a key member of our media training team. Sarah Schepers Senior Consultant, Climate Sarah has hands on climate and energy communications experience having previously worked as Head of Marketing for a leading carbon management consultancy and as Communications Manager for several research based organisations, including the international academic network Climate Strategies. Sarah also has several years' experience working with corporate clients across a wide range of sectors, helping integrate sustainability into their business model and communicate this effectively. She has an MBA from Henley Business School and her dissertation was focused on CSR. After several years in Brussels, Sarah has recently returned to the UK. Back to Top		Silvia Cambié Social Media Advisor Silvia is our senior advisor on social media. Based in London, Silvia Cambié advises international organisations and corporations on strategic communication and social media strategies. She is the author of "International Communications Strategy - Developments in Cross-Cultural Communications, PR and Social Media", published by Kogan Page and nominated for the Financial Times Goldman Sachs Awards. Silvia has designed communication campaigns for the European Parliament, USAID, the Chilean Economic Development Agency, the Government of Tunisia, the UNDP and the World Health Organisation. The social media strategy she developed for the European Training Foundation, an agency of the European Union, has won the Internal Association of Business Communicators' Gold Quill and EMErald Awards 2011. Louise Ferguson Consultant               A former financial journalist, Louise also has considerable experience of EU affairs. Having worked in Hong Kong and Brussels, Louise is now based in Dublin. She has communications consultancy experience on EU projects, particularly in the innovation space. Louise excels at original research and report writing. She knows her way around the EU institutions blindfolded to track down the key information on a particular legislative issue. Louise also has a keen interest in social media. Back to Top
