Brussels — 22 March 2021 Our CEO Kathryn Sheridan has launched a new coaching practice called Coaching for Changemakers. She says, "I have always been fascinated by people and their stories - what motivates us and what holds us back. Combined with my passion for making change in the world, it was inevitable that I would find my way into coaching sooner or later."
I first met Circa's CEO Tony Duncan in 2013 and we started working together a couple of years later. So it has been a great pleasure to support them throughout their recent fundraising process. In the video below, I share some thoughts about fundraising in a pandemic. I love it when companies that are working to bring better, cleaner and safer products to the market get the funding they need to move to the next level.
15 March 2021 – DMC Biotechnologies has successfully demonstrated full commercial scale (85m3 fermentation at EW Biotech, Germany) for its first product, the amino acid L-alanine. The scale-up results identically tracked the performance at bench and pilot scales, further validating the predictability and scalability of DMC’s Dynamic Metabolic Control technology. Importantly, commercial performance metrics were demonstrated, meaning that no further strain improvements are required to achieve the target selling price.
LUXEMBOURG - 9 March 2021 - Luxembourg-based company Capsul’in Pro has today launched its Zero Impact Nespresso®-compatible coffee capsule, the first of its kind to be 100% biobased, certified home compostable and with a high oxygen barrier that protects the flavour and aroma of the coffee. The Zero Impact capsule is completely plant-based and does not contain materials derived from fossil fuels. After use, the capsule can be put in a home compost bin or collected with organic waste.
OSLO, NORWAY – 2 March 2021 – Biochemicals company Circa Group AS has successfully completed a private placement of 575 Norwegian Kroner (NOK) – approximately €56 million – in a transaction led by Pareto Securities and Sparebank 1 Markets in Oslo, at a post-money market valuation of approximately NOK 2 billion (approximately €194 million). The company (ticker code: CIRCA) shares starts trading on Euronext Growth Oslo at 09:00 CET today (2 March 2021).
